Gem Resort, Bay of Many Coves
| Brief: | Off the beaten track, situated in the Marlborough Sounds, this required the design of its kitchen exhaust systems to match the outstanding resort development. | |
| Heatwave: | With access only by boat, it provided a challenge to design and fabricate the kitchen hoods and extract systems from architect’s plans, without the security of site measurement. The systems were required to be adaptable enough to be shipped to the resort and installed, on the assumption that they could be manipulated on site should conditions not match the drawings. This was achieved with a through semi CKD manufacture, and site assembly with minimal rework to the ckd fabrication. |
