Continuing facility development enables The University of Auckland, to maintain its position as New Zealand’s leading University, by providing world-class teaching and research institutions.
Through a series of projects Heatwave has supported this initiative through construction, installation and refurbishment of water chillers, fan coil units, chilled and heating water pipe work, hot water radiators, fume cabinets, building controls and ventilation systems in the Human Sciences building.
These service the new Computer laboratories, teaching labs, lecture theatres and administration areas.

Milford, Auckland, NZ - heating, entilation, fume cupboards.
This project involved the establishment of a new science-learning centre for Westlake Girls High School.
Central Air handling plant on the roof, complete with integral gas heating, provided the tempered ventilation systems for the classrooms and laboratories over this multistorey building.
Server room air conditioning, fume cupboards and related exhaust systems, gas reticulation to bench tops and toilet exhaust systems, were added for specialist areas.

New schools are being provided for developing areas.
This new school , on a Greenfield site, employed sophisticated energy Management Systems, incorporating weather stations, heat recovery ventilation and inverter air conditioning systems.
This leads the way for future schools to be engaged in environmentally sustainable development with its building services.
